Repair< Sat Apr 12, 2014 12:28:17 >repair

I do repairs on broken phone and tablet screens, laptop screens, replacing batteries in a mobile device, install hardware, recover lost files, disinfect a system, stuff like that. I'm most awesome with OS X and iOS and other Apple products, because its what I use at home. I do work on windows and android and linux systems, I just like Apple so, for prices for a cracked tablet screen, its usually around $120. If the LCD is broken, its generally $25 to $40 more. a cracked phone screen is usually around $90. If the LCD is broken, its usually $25 more a laptop screen is generally around $150. a laptop/desktop hard drive replacement/recovery is $35, plus the price of parts. IF your device is the newest or second newest, it will cost more. Parts are much more expensive.

plants that eat YOU!< Thu Oct 18, 2012 18:12:16 >Kris Tucker (pyrotuc)

As a child, i had a love affair with venus fly traps. who wouldnt? they are freaking awesome. buuuut, not exactly the easiest thing to grow, especially if you dont pour through pages and pages of care sheets, web pages, forum rambling. when you start looking for the information, then it becomes a matter of knowing *what* information is correct. however, if you can an open, friendly forum, with lots of friendly *and* knowledgeable people, what used to be considered necessary to become skilled need no longer be the only route. I have found this forum. It can be immensely helpful to those just starting out, or very young, or the cultivatingly-challenged. [The CP Forum](.com) im user pyrotuc on there, bg surprise, right?

Moon phase calculator!< Mon Apr 09, 2012 09:58:31 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

Spent some time yesterday patching and gluing together code from various places on the internet, to calculate the Moon's transit around the Earth, and around the Sun, then spit out some stats for the orbit. If its full, waxing/waning, distance from the Earth and Sun, etc. You can take a look at it here-->pyrotuc.com/moon.php.

ATOM feeds!< Fri Apr 06, 2012 16:55:08 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

I did some tinkering with the RSS script to spit out ATOM feed XML (i think i like it better, it can hold content). The atom feed is at pyrotuc.com/news.atom.xml. again, let me know if you encounter any problems.

RSS feeds!< Fri Apr 06, 2012 13:23:18 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

After a little tinkering, the script to generate RSS feeds from the news entries is now working and fully compliant! the rss feed is at pyrotuc.com/news.rss.xml. There is also an RSS feed for the shortened links at pyrotuc.com/links.rss.xml. As with everything else here, this is more of a proof-of-concept thing, as I imagine very few people are actually interested in following these updates.

URL shortening!< Thu Apr 05, 2012 16:14:58 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

In my quest to add new utilities/tools/awesomenesses to the site, URL shortening just made the list. you can shorten a URL by pasting "pyrotuc.com" in front of it, so the URL looks like "pyrotuc.com/http://somesite.com/withareallycrazylongurl". it will echo a short URL back to you, looking like "pyrotuc.com/a1" . of course, you can just type one in yourself, also. Id say this is still in beta, cause im still screwing around with the source code, but it works well enough to make it public. please let me know if you encounter any problems with it.

members section and utilities!< Tue Apr 03, 2012 21:54:51 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

The members area is now live! pyrotuc.com/members/. There is a networking tool, bandwidth meter, and proxy right now. membership is free, register at http://pyrotuc.com/deadlock/user/register.php

Even more logos!< Tue Apr 03, 2012 13:55:49 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

Well there are now even more logos. You can see them randomly, one by one, by clicking reload, or, check them out at pyrotuc.com/logos/. I plan to keep adding to them until I have a bazillion. Thats a technical term.

css!< Mon Apr 02, 2012 18:44:34 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

Well, now I've got the CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) styles tweaked to where I want them. If you want a peek, check out pyrotuc.com/css. It took a whole minute because of all the files that get called and included, but I'm pretty satisfied with it now.

bbclone!< Sun Apr 01, 2012 20:20:28 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

bbclone ( bbclone.de) is now installed and working. Took a whole minute. turns out for me (on dreamhost), php is run as a fastcgi, and thus ignores php_option directives in .htaccess . the solution is to use a custom phprc file in /etc/php5/ . anyway, you can check out my stats now at pyrotuc.com/bbclone

w00t!< Fri Mar 30, 2012 08:57:48 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

Well, the site is live. i know its not exactly pretty, but its not really supposed to be. The reason I have this domain is so I can test out new technologies, hone my skills, geek out, bypass proxies, and code little tools. like hashing, for example. go to pyrotuc.com/hash/md5/aStringToHash and it will just echo back to you the hash of your string. the last part is the string to hash, hope you picked up on that

layout changes< Tue Mar 27, 2012 21:26:30 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

I'm fiddling with the layout of these pages, trying to get it just so. I imagine, at times, things will look funky until I get it down just right.

moving right along< Tue Mar 27, 2012 18:21:23 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

Well, as you may have noticed, the site was non-functional for awhile. Some of the nitty gritty details with the host DNS settings had changed, and I was not notified. The problem was embarrassingly simple to fix, but some good came of the whole debacle. It gave me the impetus I needed to dive back into coding some other aspects of the site I had neglected. I've gotten random elements working (maybe youve noticed the logo? hit reload, it changes), this whole bare-bones CMS thing, the random tagline quote (a separate script from the images one). There is always progress happening!

Welcome!< Tue Mar 27, 2012 14:19:17 >Kristopher Rush Tucker

As of now, we are back online!
